KEEPING VIGIL: DISSOLVING DISBELIEF TO NAUGHT

I can remember growing up; when waiting for Christmas or my birthday, and having tried my best to suppress all anxiety that was consuming my patients, it became clear then that patience was yet to become a firm characteristic. Ironically, had I not been so impatient; foolishly getting in to trouble, a lot of things in life would still be a mystery unto me. Thus the inpatients of a child are often his learning. Now that adulthood is slowly overshadowing my youth, amongst many things, I've gained the ability to wait patiently.

Like many of you, I have been to church and heard sermons about the coming of the redeemer, the son of God. No one knows the hour the Lord of Lords shall, in the presence of all man; descend from his heavenly throne to redeem his faithful followers, and to judge all that scorned His righteousness. The book of life speaks of a time when the kingdoms of the world will come to naught, and the whole world shall witness the glory of Him that shall descend from the heavens. Our most pressing duty as human beings is to remain pure at heart, to do what is good and discard evil, and after all is done - wait.

Many people witness all the suffering that we is so abundant on earth and conclude, because of all this evil, the almighty God doesn't exist. The people who have fallen and worshiped the throne of vanity, the number of which can't be summed, conveniently overlook the fact that man is responsible for all the misery on earth. Because of the love of vain things, people have discarded the Lord. They hurt and destroy each other and expect God to redeem them. Why do we mess everything up and expect God to fix it for us, and when he doesn't, we then conclude that he doesn't exist? Human beings simply don't want any responsibility for the misery they cause on each other; nor do they want to be responsible for their souls. It has been ages since the Holy Scriptures were inspired in man by God, and for them that love the vanity and wickedness, the coming of the redeemer has become a joke unto them, they scorn the existence of God Almighty. Thus many people have adopted the humanist mentality, placing themselves above; they deny the creator and His absolutes (laws). The major reason people deny God is because of the laws God has put in place to govern the nations. People don't want anyone, especially someone they can't see telling them that "thou shalt not..."

Surly the universe did not create itself from nothing like the humanist and evolutionist would like us to believe. Think about it for a moment now; when was the last time you woke up with money in your wallet of which you could not explain source? Everything has a source, and God almighty is the source of all living. In the depths of his conscience, if it does exist, the evolutionist knows that the world and outer-space could not have begun form nothing. The more I think about the evolution, the more I'm convinced that its nonsense, amplified. It seems the prophecies in the book of life are coming to pass, all of them. Human beings are discarding all logic for the sake of vanity and glory amongst themselves. As for me, I wait patiently, remaining pure at heart.

"Behold I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame." Revelations 16:5

No one can deny that the world is not in agreement. From politics to religion, arrogantly, many of the people involved assume positions that are opposed to sensible reasoning. And amazingly; these people who have absurd beliefs in their logic, easily find strong support amongst the people. Maybe it's because of ignorance or the love of wickedness; nonetheless, it's hard to explain so many numbers in agreement with absurdity. With conviction in their hearts, many people denounce believing in God the creator of all living. But they have yet to offer a more logical belief system... I listened to all; I heard their side of the story, and after all, I remain pure at heart... waiting patiently for my redeemer, even unto death.

"He that overcometh shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, the unbelieving, murders, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake with fire and brimstone; which is the second death." Revelations 21: 7-8
